Dirt to Dollars with Dominic Bonin
Dirt to Dollars was the University of Ottawa Real Estate Club's inaugural event, held in partnership with Dominic Bonin from JLL. This sit-down event gave students a complete picture of the development lifecycle. From land brokerage to asset management/disposal, Dominic took the students on a journey through the lifecycle of an asset from a simple plot of dirt to a fully formed project.
UOREC x ACE Real Estate Case Competition
Our award-winning site tour with TCU Development Corporation offered students an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at several of their active sites across Ottawa. Throughout the day-long event, members had the unique opportunity to explore purpose-built rental projects at various stages of construction and development. TCU’s team provided uninterrupted access and valuable insights into their processes and projects. The day concluded with a networking event in one of TCU’s completed developments, bringing together students and industry professionals for an engaging and inspiring evening.

Insights and Connections with Roger Greenberg
Our award-nominated fireside chat with Roger Greenberg, the Executive Chairman of the Board of the Minto Group, gave students unparalleled access to one of the pioneers of the Canadian real estate industry.
Roger shared his experiences with both passionate students and industry professionals in attendance, highlighting the true force for good that real estate can have on communities and what it means to be successful.
UOREC x ACE Real Estate Case Competition
Our real estate case competition, in partnership with ACE, Colliers, Tripine Developments and National Bank, provided students with a real estate scenario in which they were asked to pick a specific site in Ottawa and pitch their development concept along with their financial feasibility to a panel of industry judges.
This event brought together 10+ judges from all avenues of the real estate industry and 50+ driven and ambitious uOttawa students.
